Calla lilies, also known as arum lilies, are known by their scientific name, Zantedeschia aethiopica, a species of flowering plant in the family Araceae. It was native to southern Africa, in Lesotho, South Africa, and Eswatini. It is a perennial plant that can grow 2 to 3.3 feet tall and has a bell-shaped flower with a yellow spike pistil in the center. The distinctive flowers come in many beautiful colors, including classic white (a favorite for weddings), yellow, pink, red, purple, green, black, orange, rose, lavender, and dark maroon.
